There has been stated interest in Doan from the Leafs, but before fans get their hopes up, they have to realize that Toronto is the wrong fit for a guy who got close to winning the Cup last season and wants to get another crack or two before his career is over with. |

On a one year contract I'd absolutely love Semin. A line of him, Grabo and JVR would be pretty awesome. Maybe a one-year contract is the thing to motivate him (not to mention a coach like Carlyle)... |

Its clear we're not getting Doan. But seriously, leadership is a huge need for this team. I definitely thought Burke was going to acquire some vets this off season. Still tons of time, but JVR is no leader and McClement is older but is nothing special. |
